Part Time Sales - ASTORIA: Gimre’s Shoes is a family owned business in downtown Astoria
OR. We’re a friendly bunch looking to add to our team. If you absolutely love
people and shoes along be being able to work efficiently in a fast paced
environment this could be for you!
We carry better grade shoes for men and women such as New
Balance, Keen, Merrell, SAS, Ugg, Dansko and a lot more. We’re full service
which means we spend time conversing with our customers to get them what works
best for their needs including the perfect fit. This also
includes discussing the features of the product and how it relates to their
particular foot type. Little
biomechanics involved which we fully train you on but you have to be able to
absorb and retain. Like school but much more interesting and fun! Yes we do things the old fashioned
(but correct way) such as measuring feet and trying the shoes on our customers.
If you can handle the physical aspect of this along with stock-work, merchandising, and other day to
day operations we’re all good!
We need someone who’s generally available late mornings into
the afternoons. Occasional weekend work is part of the job as we’re open 7 days
a week. Weekly hours would range from about 20-30 hours. If your 100% reliable, hopefully have past
retail experience, are a whiz working computers, and love working with our
great customers this position could possibly last you for the long haul! Sorry
this isn’t a seasonal or temporary
position. Pay depends on experience but if do your job well it could pay $10 hourly or more. Huge discounts on shoes
